I love these old Civic hatches and I'm sure this one was souped up real good. It's a pity they're just crushing them in this manner. What a waste.

That roof held up surisingly good for a while! I take all of my racing to the track. I have only been down the 1/4 a couple of times though. See my Avatar <<<
Oh I agree you have to pay the price. I believe their car should be taken away as well. But I don't agree with crushing them. I'm not into street racing at all but I'd love to own some of these cars.Originally Posted by GMCSonoma

Almost as bad as the paedophiles. Remember parents, don't let your kids out of your site and NEVER outside of the house, chain them to the PS3's for chrissake or the PAEDOPHILES will EAT THEIR BRAINS. Clearly the glorious Western society that our forefathers built upon tenets of freedom is in its death throws as we speak. Soon Nero will burn Rome.
That is such a waste. They could be donated to Volunteers of America or sold or parted out to help fund the police department. Can they even destroy the cars? Is it some sort of new law in there? I thought impounded cars were kept until the owner pays to get them out or they are auctioned off.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

But seriously, that's just incredibly wasteful. They should at least auction the cars off and put the money towards policing of street racing or something to that degree, not just crushing the cars.
Yeah I think it's a law. There was a big controversy about it a while back.Originally Posted by BrickTamland

I believe Street Racing is a ticket beyond a Reckless if I'm not mistaken. Reckless can wind you up in jail, with a suspended license. I believe a conviction for racing is even more severe. In part because you put others at risk.

Street racing used to happen in the 50's and 60's nothing new here. That was why the NHRA was created.
I hope your car doesn't get crushed on the first offense.
