    Chicago Auto Show

So In my GM ASEP class they were handing out free tickets to the Chicago Auto Show. I'm pumped...it'll be my first auto show. I can't wait to see the G8 in person...unless GM creates something better for Pontiac in the next two years, this is the car that I'm going to be purchasing. I know some of you are let down by the design, and I at first was too, but after looking at it long and hard, it really is a sharp design to me. Oh man, I can't wait. Me and a couple other guys from class are gonna road trip out in the Caddy...anybody else going?

    Re: Chicago Auto Show

It's been a few years for me, too, since I've attended the Chicago Auto Show. Not sure I'll be going this year, either, as Mom and Dad will be having surgery in early February (Mom donating an organ to Dad).

When will you be going, firebird?

I see your coming from Iowa you might want to get on metra in a western suburb. Parking around the auto show will range from $15-$30. Metra and a free shuttle will cost maybe $10 round trip.

From about 10:00 A.M to 4:00 PM. I got a deal where the local bus company charges $50 round trip including the ticket. A good deal if you ask me.

    Re: Chicago Auto Show

Hmmm....not sure if I'll be able to make it there or not during those hours. It kinda depends on how my parents' surgeries go (Mom is donating an organ to Dad) on February 4. We'll see. I didn't realize you were coming to Chicago via bus....

Hope your parents surgeries go well. I will pray for them. Dont want to lose a parent. I cant drive down and back plus the ticket and parking for the price of the bus.

I'll be there Monday the 11th. My theory is to avoid the crowds. I hope it works. Have fun.
