In a few of the pictures it reminded me of the Studebaker Avanti, especially around the headlights.

My Memory of AMC.

My Dad was moved (by his job about 2 hours north) But he kept coming back to His Home Town, to buy his new cars.

I was about 8 Years Old, and his Ambassador, was in the shop. (Not sure what the problem was) After waiting to see if the problem could be fixed, Late Sat. Day they offered my Dad, a "Blue Javelin" to take home for the week. I still remember the Blue Javelin,.

His friend would always offer a Coke, out of his Old Coke Machine, Red White and small bottoles.

But my Dad accepted a Brown Matador 2 door, that his friend was driving anyways, to take home.

On the way home, we blew a Rad Hose, I thought the car was on Fire, looking at all of the "Smoke" following the car. I was in a panick to get my shoes on to exit the burning car.

Another Friend, came out from our town, about 30 minutes, in his Chrysler Newport 2 door, to pick us up.

I had a friend that had a sweet gold Javelin with a 3 speed and a 390. It was my favorite car back in the day. The car above doesn't remind me of it what-so-ever. That thing looks like an old Buick GS with a Pinto front-end grafted on it.

The side-by-side head-on shots, lower left: One reminds me of a Gen-1 Monte Carlo, the other a Gen-1 Capri. I wonder if Mark Donohue coulda made sumthin' out o' that thang...
