40 years of the Jimny, death of the Ambassador

I founded this article at http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/i...tos-ambassador about the possible future death of the Hindustan Ambassador (a poster taught he was back in 1975 when AMC dropped the Ambassador lol) via a post on Hemmings blog who also mention the 40 years of the Suzuki Jimny

It's funny that they were building the Hindustan Ambassador before AMC even existed, and for a few decades after it died

    Um. No.

The Hindustan Ambassador bowed in 1958.

    AMC was formed in 1954.

And AMC's predecessor, Nash, began using the Ambassador name in 1927. When the AMC Ambassador was canceled after 1974, it was the longest continuously running nameplate on the market.
    Peace,

I'm a big Jimny fan, I'll have to get one someday. They hold their value quite well, so it's hard to find a super deal.
It's been swell, but the swelling's gone down.
