2012 Daewoo Lacetti/Cruze Coupe, hatchback and wagon

Lacetti/Cruze Coupe

Lacetti/Cruze Hatchback

Lacetti/Cruze Wagon

The Daewoo Lacetti/Cruze might eventually offer almost every single body style possible. Including a hatchback and/or a wagon .

A sporty Turbo SS version is also in the works.
Although from the wheels on this prototype, this is not it.

The coupe will compete with the Civic and Forte coupes. And will be mainly for the US market.
While the hatchback will be targeted for Europe.

The problem is, again, timing.
It is taking GM forever to just come up with the regular sedan version of the car in the US.
Other versions need to come out almost right after.
The new stunning looking Focus is just around the corner, so is a new Civic.

Although I can really imagine a 220/240hp Turbo Lacetti/Cruze coupe could be a very attractive car for many people.
And something other small coups do not offer.
Yet...

Holden are apparantly working on unique styling for the Hatch.

Probably a new front facia

Yikes... Burlapp could really use some work in the writing department. It would also be nice to have some idea of where these shots were taken.

Either way, these look to be further along than the prototype stage.

I really like the greenhouse shape of the coupe.

It looks pretty close to MonaroSS's chop

Of course it does. You could tell MonaroSS that it was going to have four doors and might be a Chevrolet and he'd turn out a perfect chop in like 10 minutes.

Re: 2012 Daewoo Lacetti/Cruze Coupe, hatchback and wagon

The only bad thing about the old Cobalt coupe was the very odd problem of using the coupe doors! You really dont realize how much of a PITA it is to open them in close quarters. Ive had nothing but coupes for MY car until I recently purchased my Golf but man, that small car was hard to figure out when I had it for a few days.

Overall, Im glad to see these being tested. GM needs to get these to the US ASAP.

Well I mean, aren't they technically like almost the same car?

Forgive my skepticism after seeing the so-called "Spied ATS" photos from this site.

That coupe has to be chopped, look at how short the wheelbase is! The C pillar / rear roofline looks chopped.

I also want to call this not quite right. I don't know how they apply the camo to the vehicles but all 3 of those vehicles have the exact same patterns in the exact same spots forward the B pillar. The last 2 shots have identical patterning.

As exciting as these spy shots could be, I share your skepticism for the same example.
