Re: 2008 Aveo

I have an '06 Aveo with 41k on the clock now. I've had zero mechanical issues with this car, and have a lifetime average of 35.4 mpg, and have seen as high as 43.7 (with a major tailwind). I like my little car just fine. All of those who bemoan the car, with no shred of evidence to support their blind hatred, are simply full of it.

It's a cheap little car that will serve your friend well, so long as he takes care of it.

Re: 2008 Aveo

The Aveo is a good vehicle but I would suggest getting a year old or so Cobalt. It's a more substantial car for less cash

Triple-X08:take your hybrids and shove em up yer ass, i'll take my fuel injection and carburetors, and still make 30+ mpg. and i wont look like a douchebag driving it.

Re: 2008 Aveo

turns out he is going to get the Mazda 3. im not sure, but he is just dead set on getting a brand new car. the reason i suggested the Aveo cause its $17000 fully loaded and i didnt think isurance would be any problem. i did suggest others, such as the cobalt, suzuki sx4, and a bunch of used cars, but he didnt want it used.

Good! Even better. This kid is actually smart. Why he would need a brand new Mazda 3 and not a nice loaded used one...I don't know....but the Mazda 3 is an all around great car and superior choice.
