thanks nsap, anyway, these pics were taken in may, but the people were at the time too afraid to show them off, they were taken in florida and were not allowed to drive the vehical, it was parked so close to the wall they couldnt take pictures or even hardly see it, it does not say HUMMER across the grill. these are all hummer owners and were invited by GM to see the new vehical, like the new escalade.

Will we soon see an "H4" that is based off of the Cobalt?

It does look better than the H-2, it appears more jacked up - it is likely better off road just by virtue of being smaller.

I would much rather see a two door "Blazer" based off of the Colorado than this paramilitary crud.

The price might make it more popular than the H2, plus it will get better gas mileage and is smaller and more practical - on the other hand, I'm wondering if the ugly military look was just a fad whose novelty has now worn off.

Nice! I like the interior especially since the seats with contrasting tubing reminds me of Jaguars and Land Rovers. Sadly, how will this sell since SUV sales are slipping and the image of HUMMER is thought of as "gas-guzzling"?

It's a nice vehicle. The interior is nice. That's one of the early preproduction vehicles. Looks like it was painted tan from yellow - probably to draw less attention so people w/o keen eyes would pass it off as an h2.

I did not like it when it was shown here, before, and I don't like it now. It looks like a Chinese or Russian knockoff of the Nissan Xterra. Where the Xterra uses the stamped steel of its fenders, to create a muscular look, this H3 uses massive bolted or glued on fender flares. The rest of the vehicle looks skinny, positively un-Hummerlike. The dash looks nice on its own merits, but knowing that it is a gussied-up version of the interior in the Chevy Colorado, and thereby a descendant of the interior in the Isuzu D-Max/Rodeo pick-up, takes some of the specialness away from it. Its kind of like using the interior from a basic pick-up truck, and selling it in a $50K luxury SUV, but I guess that GM (and Nissan) has nothing against doing that kind of thing. Overall, this vehicle makes me wonder if GM has truly learned anything about design, and selling cars/trucks in the premium market. The LA Autoshow concept version of this truck was soooooo promising, and this is so "blah". Not to sound like some of the Mopar fans, who are holding out for a "better" Charger, but I do hope that these H3 pictures do not accurately reflect the production vehicle. Hopefully, a far more rugged and sexier truck will debut in Detroit wearing the H3 badge. In my humble opinion, a credible H3 would be shortened wheelbase (about the length of the original Blazer or Ford Bronco) version of the H2, with two doors, and a removable hardtop/convertible. Priced around $35-$40K, it could fill the market niche of the Land Rover Defender 90.

The best thing that can come of this is a better interior for the GMC Canyon some day.

Very nice, a good addition to the Hummer line-up.
The interior looks different than the H2. It should be interesting to see what the reviews of this SUV are like. Official release NAIAS 2005?

the engine bay is yellow because the truck is actually a yellow one with a removeable pewter paint on top of it. there is strategically located tape at the body seams that actually allow the pewter paint to be removed. i've seen that truck, and so have the rest of you.... right here on GMI. that's the same truck that is already posted on here, and those pics are actually in the daylight.
