Re: Two Mode Sierra coming to Chicago-- on sale this year.

I'm actually waiting for the 35mpg 2.5L Diesel Hybrid to be available in the 3500 before I buy my next truck. Everybody knows that mpg is more important than functionality when buying a truck/SUV. So I'll gladly pay the extra $15,000 for the diesel & hybrid options so that I have a place for my custom "HYBRID" license plate. I paid $500 to reserve it at the DMV!

Re: Two Mode Sierra coming to Chicago-- on sale this year.

We have lost our minds. A 10k to 15k premium over an already ridiculously high priced truck just so we can get the decent mileage we should be getting anyway?! Instead of buying $4 gallon gas, I get to buy a high dollar hybrid system AND $4 gallon gas? All this for a lousy 25% improvement? That's 15 mpg to 18.75 mpg. Wooo. What progress!

Great, where do I sign up and does it come with a jar of vasoline?

p.s. - The ONLY reason this truck exists is so people don't feel guilty driving their gas sucking truck. Should sell well in California. A pickup truck sucks gas. period. There's nothing wrong with it, but lets not forget it either! A truck is designed to tow, haul, go through mud, etc. Its not the best choice to go to the mall in, drive junior to baseball in, or commute to work in. Somewhere Americans lost this crucial bit of info. Its got a TON more ability than the average person needs and yet they sell millions.
