Agree. #2 looks like something I could do with some friends over a weekend. I'm sure I couldn't, but it looks like it. #3 is just an ugly paint job.

Re: Three unique GM Trucks you need to bid on at Barrett Jackson

Yeah, I'd love any of them, especially the Typhoon since 1992 was the year I graduated from high school. I've always loved the Typhoon as it is anyhow. But the catch is, I can't drive any of these on public roads.

"There's a small catch to owning these trucks, though: GM won't warranty them after purchase, and they can't be titled, licensed or driven on public roads. They're destined to be trailer queens.

Of course, two of them are meant to be used on dirt trails, and the third is built for the track, so we suppose if you come up with a winning bid you could gaze at them in your garage or where they're meant to be run."

I'll take #1 if they throw in a solid front axle

I'd probably tear all into pieces though out on the trails! I am so happy I'm moving within about two days drive to Moab

Why isn't #1 the actual look of the Silverado? Looks a lot better to me.

Well that's alright...keep the Typhoon on the track and Silverados on the trails

I saw some video of a modified Typhoon at a drag strip and man that was wicked seeing that lil truck go.

Seriously...some of these people dont have a clue about the heritage of this company...The Syclone/Typhoon were very unique...really the first performance trucks on the market...when they were released they were the quickest trucks in the world.
Light weight with AWD moved by a Turbo Charged 4.3 liter V6

Thier cool factor is at the same level as the Grand National

You would change your mind if you could drive it. It's way out of date, but that was a hot truck in my time. It looked awesome in black!!. In those days it could take on anything in a drag race.

I have always wanted a Ty or Sy, they are so awesome. I look at them on eBay and would purchase one if I had the Money. Would be so much fun.

The Typhoon was the 2-door Jimmy based SUV. This is a Syclone (Sonoma truck based). I don't quite understand why the Syclone couldn't be titled or driven on a public road. If it has a VIN, it should be legal. If you're dumb enough to turn on the strobe lights in public, you accept responsibility for the consequences.

Re: Three unique GM Trucks you need to bid on at Barrett Jackson

I'd take the Syclone, but I'd rather have a bone-stock model, not the pace-truck version. For one, the stock truck looks better. For another, it says in the article none of these vehicles can be titled or registered--which means they can't be driven.
