and just so theres no confusion about power or whatever. The only reason the 4.5 was outpacing the 6.6 is due to the altitude they were testing at. Something to do with air pressure and the twin turbos, I dunno.

So, the HDs had a twin-turbo setup, the 1/2 ton w/ a 4.5L single variable-geometry turbo and the 4.5 was kickin' the big Dmax's butt up the mountain? That's awesome! I can't wait until the 4.5 is available. If they can keep the price down on the option, and there's a larger availabilty of cheap bio-diesel, the 4.5L will be in my next truck.

Okay. It is started.

...GM is not going to add a SFA in the 2010 C/K HD trucks.
It has been debunked.

We can move forward.

Is this due to poor mileage with the DPF, or because the DPF isn't doing the job for future emissions regs?

Any info on Urea refills? Buy it at the dealer, or is it a service only item?
More importantly, can I refine the ample supply at home to work?

Re: Spied: 2010 Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty

Why is GM so god-damned cheap! Is it that much more money to make the top of the bumper body color?

This is why the GMCs look wayy better.

I also think the GMC is still the better looking truck, but fixing the front bumper on the Chevy is at least a step in the right direction.

I still think the GM HDs look odd in part do to the truck body's still look like they are just setup on top of a frame made for a much larger truck. The entry and load hights are crazy.

More gears sounds good too me.

been ugly for a long time? the 05-07 HD's were IMO some of best looking trucks GM has ever made. I really didn't like the Chevy HD's at first but there look has grown on me and i thought the GMC's were nice from the start.

the 05 to 07 classics were great looking. The updated 2010 looks more like that to me. There will be a new frame too.

New frame? Is this another solid front axle rumor or truth of a new frame?

When? For the 2010's or later?

No SFA. Not even a concept at this point.

Yeah, I've given up on the SFA and all those rumors.

But I wanna know if there's any truth to the new frame for 2010 or if that is just a rumor too.
