Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

It's not posted on the Chevy site yet, but after some creative snooping, I found you can use this link to build an '09 Colorado.

http://www.chevrolet.com/byo/byoSele...omPage=summary

Here's the unpublished link for the '09 Canyon.

I see that the ZQ8 suspension is available for the Canyon.
Has it always been available at the same time as the Colorado?
I was thinking that the Canyon was deprived in that regard, but I could be wrong. (At least I don't remember ever seeing a ZQ8 Canyon.)

Canyon didn't get ZQ8 for the first model year and never got the Xtreem package add on at any point.

I sure wished they would put that 5.3 in a Z71 4x4.

They do.

Oh, and the 1VL model is a little pricey for some reason:

No, That is for the 2WD. Even though it's listed under the 3LT package when you try to build a 4x4 with the 5.3 it shows an error.

Yes, choose the 2LT (Z71) package withe the 3.7L and add the 5.3L on the options page.

You can't build it officially so don't worry about what the website says....
