Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

Wow, for a supposedly "crappy" truck that no-one wants or cares about, this thread sure has generated a great deal of interest.

Hopefully GM will not add the V-8 because it might get better gas mileage than the 5 banger and spur sales.
We wouldn't want that.

Nice, maybe we'll see more orders with gas prices where they are, though I'd opt for the 4-cyl. crew cab for maximum utility and best fuel mileage.

One of the previous posters indicated that it would be available with the ZQ8 suspension.

We can only hope.

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

The only time I would even consider the V8 was if I was going with a CC 4x4. The added weight would hender the performance of the 4 or 5, so the extra power of the v8 would come in handy.

Where the heck are the Colorado's with the V8? I've yet to see one at a dealer and Chevy doesn't have any info on their site.

I hate to break the news, and learn it as well. There are ZERO Colorado orders with V8 accepted by GM. Last time I looked--- there were. Looks like it will never be.

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

Any one see the V8 with the 3.73 rear end gear ratio yet? I keep hearing of people seeing them but they all have the 4.10. I would think that the 3.73 would do better on the highway millage.I do mostly highway driving. Have not heard of any in south east FL. yet

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

Went by one of the local dealers on the way home tonight.
Only V8 they had was a white Z71 4wd. Hardly a ZQ8.
