When comparing a 1500 to a 2500 HD of the Silverado or Sierra, you can see the different wheels and higher, stronger stance of the 2500; that's what I meant when I said it looked like a mini 2500.

It had a stronger stance than the regular Colorado and what looked like a smaller size of the 2500 wheels.

Think it has anything to do with gas at $4.00+ per gal.

So thats it? No 5.3 in the Colorado? Wow! I knew it wouldn't last but I never thought it would get axed this soon

Where did you hear about the hemi coming to the dakota? So they are bringing back the regular cab too, its about time. Now if they would bring back the club cab ram, they would be in good shape.

There is a thread on this site showing pics of the regcab hemi Dakota, guess do a search for it.

I'm not saying for sure its going to be sale.

Nope, I couldn't find anything. Not saying that it isn't there, but I didn't see anything. I even googled it and still came out empty. With the price of fuel going up, I don't see it being a front line contender anyway. Even if there was any provisions of putting the hemi in the dakota, with the colorado v8 being axed, and the promise of slow sales and the cost of re-tooling the lines to assemble the hemi V8 in the dakota, and to produce a reg cab which they do not make currently, would be a serious loss( the dakota is that anyway but still, this would add insult to injury, LOL! ) If you get a minute and can find the thread though I would still be interested but don't sweat it if you don't.

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

Motor Trend is usually on top of things....and they just printed this article July 1, 2008. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet....it would be awful hard for them to cut down the program without giving it a shot to the public yet.

Agreed. It just seems too abrubt to be true. Maybe, but I'll wait to hear more from more sources

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

Riddle me this: Was the 5.3 going to be a AFM/Flexfuel version? If so
I would suspect that the gas mileage would be comparable if not better than the I-5 in the long run.
