I can't even keep my modded 06 C6 on the road without it going sidways.

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

It occurs to me that since the sales of full sized trucks and SUVs has tanked, that maybe the smaller trucks, like the Canyonrado, will become more popular. Of course, some of those buyers will still need the guts provided by the V8. The same engine, with less vehicle weight to pull around, not to mention the lower profile facing into the wind, will almost have to get better mileage.
The smaller truck will probably make a "better" SS, as well. People who are looking for performance toys would probably prefer a lighter package wrapped around their big motor.

Heh...
Confirmed for the Colorado!

I went by our local Chevy dealer on the way home from work.
The resident "truck guy" confirmed that the Colorado would, indeed, be available with the 5.3 in August or September.

I'm not the first person on his list of people to call.

He didn't know about the ZQ8, though.

Re: No V8 For Colorado/Canyon Until 2009

My saleswoman was just checking pricing on the v8. I have 1 week left on my lease and will have to settle for the 3.7 if I can't get an answer on pricing before next week. C'mon Chevrolet where's my truck?

Any new spy pics floating around?

Great. Maybe if they did that they will be competitive with the Dodge Rumble Bee as far as sport trucks go, because neither the s10 xtreme or colorado xtreme are even close now.

True, an LS4 or L76 would be perfect for a regular cab colorado.

Again the fumble bee is a huge heavy tank. I dont like big trucks at all. even my 99 AND 03 ford Lightnings were just toooo big.

Yeah.
I actually had to google that one.
Between the bumble bee and the yellow, you've made quite the choice.
Good luck with that.

Nice segway into bragging on your truck. And as far as the Rumble Bees go, flashy yellow paint and a stripe kit do not a sport truck make! I have ridden in a Daytona Ram before(sister truck to the RB's), nice but not to sporty. All it is is a standard regular cab short bed with a HEMI and some stripes, now the STR-10, Lightning, or 454SS, those were real sport trucks! I'm not knocking your truck, I'm sure its really nice, I just dont consider the Rumble Bee's/Daytona/Knight Runner/GTX or any other factory stripe kit on a Dodge truck a real sport truck!
(I'm busting on Dodge trucks either, I love them!! As long as they come with a 6cyl turbo diesel)
