Finally, a decent spy shot (Front end, H3)

You can see the front end of the H3 somewhat, and it looks just like an H2.

I think it is common sense that the H3 is going to have a smaller version of the H2's exact front....

I hope they can squeeze some extra horses out of the 3.5 liter I5. Last I heard the H3 is 4800lbs. So hopefully then can get the output up my 10% to 15%. 250+hp and torque would help offset the additional weight over the Colorado. I like the way the H3 looks better than the H2 and from what C&D said it handles the Jeep Rubicon trail quite well.

I think making the H3 look like the H2 is a mistake. The boxy H2 was popular for a year or so, and now its popularity died off. The H3 should have some of the characteristics of the H2, but it should be much sleaker. I do not know how these new hummer dealerships are going to make enough money to stay afloat.

I think making them looking alike is fine, because the H3 will be the least expensive hummer. Everyone who wants an H2, but either (1) can't afford it, or (2) can't justify getting such a large (excessive) vehicle for their second vehicle, will be able to consider the H3 because it is less expensive and smaller. The H3 should be higher volume because it is priced more as a "middle class" offering.

I just think Hummers are worthless for road use and offering more big ones isn't the answer (even if they are smaller, big ones).
Look up information next time before you post. The H3 is using the I-5 engine used in the Colorado, Canyon. Pretty fuel effiecient. Wrong again Laser.

How come the hummer has the 7 slot grill. Isn't that the jeep grill?

No, it's the Hummer grill. The courts have settled that one.

AM General (which builds Hummers) was once a division of American Motors Corporation, which owned Jeep at the time. It was their military division. They spun it off to an independent company, but if there's any simliarity between the two, it's because they were once related. Chrysler didn't seem to mind when AM General was producing only H1s, but when the H2 came along they decided it was time for a nuisance lawsuit on the matter. They lost.

H3 Unveiling

Just got this from Hummer in an email alert.

Dear HUMMER Enthusiast,

We know you're eager to get a look at the newest member of the HUMMER family;
the all new 2006 H3. And we're just as excited to show it to you.

The smaller, sleeker, more agile H3 won't be available to the public until late spring of 2005 but for you, we are streaming a live webcast of the special H3 unveiling. The H3 will make its worldwide debut at the Anaheim Convention Center Arena on October 27 at 11:15 AM PST.

Go to HUMMER.com to view the webcast and be one of the first to see the all new H3.

Sincerely,
The HUMMER Team

I like it. The efficient I-5 is a selling point for me. I hate gas guzzlers and with the H3 you can have the Hummer and afford the gas (cake and eat it type deal).
