With "new" GM's focus on product differentiation, I thought they would make the Denali's price more justified by keeping the 6.2 exclusive to the Denali. Maybe all I can hope for now is A) the 6.2 that will go into the reg 1/2 tons can run on regular and still make the 403 HP and 417 lb of torque B) The Denali and Escalade sees a HP bump to somewhere like 420-430 HP from there 6.2.
The supercharged 6.2L might find it's way into the Denali, V-Series Escalade and Silverado SS.

Its looking like 2009 model year. There were hints of late 08 for the six speeds so if you can wait 9 months might be worth it. Then again, you could wait forever for the next big thing...

I didn't wait, very happy with my 07 RCSB.

Yep!, That looks was either you are going to love it or hate it. Personally, I like Aggressive and Mean looking Cars or Trucks . I hated it when they changed the look of the first Avalanche from Very Aggressive, Mean and unique looking to looking like the Silverado.

But, Not everyone liked the Mean and Aggressive look.

Re: New GM Trucks Gain Traction Against Competitors In Slippery Market

I finally broke down and bought the BEST pickup in America dollar-for-dollar, a Titan. $35K+ sticker, paid $28.5K. Can't beat the quality, price. GM's trucks are TOTALLY over priced. American spoiled arrogance is the only reason why they're still in business. They'll kill themselves to have the latest mobile technology, SUV. All the while, we're losing countless lives in Iraq because the hypocritical American wants to fuel that big rig. And they couldn't care less as long as their kid isn't the one dying. What a TOTAL DISGRACE this country has turned into. At least I helped some poor rural kid (the Mississippi Titan plant employee) feed his family last week. And I'm very proud of that fact. And I'm sure he/she is most grateful also.

What a load of CRAP!!!

What the hell does buying a truck have to do with our war in Iraq? So, if we all bought foreign vehicles, that would end the war and killing in Iraq? Maybe you better write Bush and let him know that. What an ignorant post.

Speaking of "breaking down"...get used to it!!!

There's a reason you got $6,500 off, probably because the Titan is "TOTALLY overpriced." Also, enjoy your Titan's lust for fuel as it's one of the least efficient full-size pickups and think about those "lives in Iraq" since you thing the war is about energy. I think it's a disgrace when people jump to buy an import brand when they could be buying a vehicle from an American company. When I bought my Silverado I helped feed an American family too, so don't give me that crap.

You're an idiot.

Yeah, sealing the deal on a Black on Black 2007 Silvy Vmax from Jack Carter in Calgary. They are bringing it in from BC. Got some good sales going and the truck is freaking loaded so I'm more than happy with the 6.0 and the 4 speed. Going to get a bunch of parts from Davenport in the NE to hotrod it abit.

Yikes! Someone please tell this poor soul that reliability ratings on the Titan are the lowest of any pickup truck sold in North America...If there was any money saved up front he will be putting it back in quickly trying to fix warped brake rotors, overheated rear differentials, dash rattles and squeeks, oh yea and more trips to the pump for that thirsty motor

Can't help you with the total disgrace stuff and the Iraq comments...for that it's best to go see a therapist to sort out your feelings

For you guys that actually have a new body style Vortec Max truck, just how noticeable is that 4-second delay crap??

I really like the new Silverado's and might would trade my 06 Sierra to one with the Max if GM offers up 0% for up to 60 months.

Congrats!! Hope you got a smokin deal...found the people friendly at that dealership but getting in and out of the place can be annoying. Bought mine at Shaw GMC.

What mods do you have planned??

Depends on how you plan to drive it. TM will be an issue if you plan to streetlight race, otherwise it is NOT an issue. The power is all there, when it's needed.

Now, with that said....I am a fairly easy driver, but I will admit it does bug me sometimes when I get on it and it is a bit sluggish momentarily. So, I do plan on getting a Wait4Me or a Wheatley tune to improve throttle response and mpgs. Nothing radical, just a mild tune. I don't want to abuse it.

I certainly wouldn't let it stop you from buying...besides, your 06 has TM too ya know.

Thanks. I probably drive about like you do. Not going to be in many "drag races" with my truck, lol. I do have the car to pull to the races though. My 5.3 does wonderful, but I do kind of regret not trying to get the 6.0L when I bought my truck.

So I've decided that the next time I buy, I'm going to try and get one with a 6.0, unless I just couldn't find one optioned like I want.
