$39k? That thing had to have been -fully- decked out. I built one on GMC's website just to check it out, selected every single option, and it topped out at $38,375. $24,250 is the starting price for this model, which, IIRC, gives you a very nice amount of equipment including a rear view camera!

Looking at GMC's website, and building a 2010 Canyon on there, yeah. It looks like the ZQ8 does comes with the V8. Doesn't look like you can get it without one.
