The M5 of pickups? Roush Silverado

From: www.autospies.com

The M5 of pickups?

A few months back we were the first to bring you news that Roush would be working 1 on 1 with General Motors to develop performance products for current and future GM products.

We expect a Roush Camaro sometime in 2010 or 2011 but before then, it appears as if Roush will be working with GM to give the Silverado a kick in the ass to pick up where the SVT Ford Lightening left off.

Re: The M5 of pickups? Roush Silverado

I think the Roush model would be pretty sweet. I am clad that GM will be working with them to make higher performing vehicles. I would still like to see GM make a SS Silverado though, I do not want to see them give up on there own performance truck.

I love the Typhoon and Syclone.

This is a natural fit, Roush is the manufacturer for the GM Accessory ground effects kit, which are BADASS by the way.

Re: The M5 of pickups? Roush Silverado

a little premature to call it the M5 of pickup trucks IMO and the truck is real Brenda priddy and her merry band of photogs (myself included) caught shots of the rousch Silverado earlier this year

UGH Why roush?? keep it internal, they have done a very good job with the new SS versions, Cobalt and HHR. Keep it in house so the avarege guy doesnt have to pay the premium for the Roush name, and am sorry but Roush Camaro does not have that ring to it. Not like Yenko!!

Re: The M5 of pickups? Roush Silverado

I thought Roush was a Ford tuner? Are they going to be both or just GM now? Roush is known throughout the Ford world, heck, they race fords. Will Roush switch to GM in Nascar too? A lot of unanswered questions here.

this is just what we need with oil at $135 a barrel and the CAFE standards getting tougher by the minute. Stop dreaming and smell the overpriced oil. Although Star$bcks works out at about $16 a gallon, so maybe we shouldn't complain so much.

Why does somebody always have to ruin posts about performance vehicles and trucks/SUVs by bringing up CAFE and hybrids and fuel prices. If you can't afford gas pries, then obviously this vehicle is not for you. Nobody needs to be constantly reminded. We can all figure it out on our own. Thanks for stating the obvious.

We don't NEED Starbucks to drive to and from work. I for one NEED gas as I live 46 miles away from work.
