Lightning Killer
A 2003 Silverado SS pulling mid 11 second runs. Nice story about owning some Fords at the track.

Re: Lightning Killer
Ford said they are going to have two high performance vehicles, the Shelby Mustang and F150, so expect a SVT or lightning F150.

Re: Lightning Killer
For awhile and still to this day lightning are beating srt-10 because nobody can drive them. Try hooking up with a srt-10..... it's a hard job. Auto is the way to go in this type of vehicle, not a standard.
But wait for 2009 Lightning will strike again.![]() Imagine this with a Ford GT engine..... All Ford will say is "Bring It"

Re: Lightning Killer
I actually consider the Roush F150 a stout Ford, but they are friggin pricy ($16,000 for the Stage 3)! I liked the Lightning because it was an affordable muscle truck with a factory warranty.

Re: Lightning Killer
Saleen only gives "price estimates". They say the trucks start in the high $30,000 range and are in the low to mid $40,000 range for the supercharged version. Obviously, this means that you can't get one for less than $50K.

Re: Lightning Killer
The Saleen F150 is weet, it flat out smokes the SS in looks and performance.
