In the future we'll get small Hummers with big offroad tires. That's cool.

I would consider a Wrangler-sized Hummer. But like someone else said, GM should just make it a Chevy and get rid of Hummer altogether. |

Hummer still has a very strong Off-road image. It only needs 2: A Jeep like vehicle and the current H3 with a diesel. Just spend the money on making them incredible off road vehicles and people will pay the premium. Hell, make the small Jeep like vehicle a series hybrid and you would make a killing(although, I am not sure the electronics would take the punishment).

I agree with the Smart, the BMW is a total contradiction; especially post Bangle! As for the Hummer, GM really needs to rethink making Cadillac a volume dealer and try a pyramid shaped divisional sales hierarchy. GM fails to grasp luxury and Exclusivity! |

That is because no one buys a $100,000 dollar Cadillac right now. Maybe down the road but that is only after they make a name with the CTS.

Re: Jalopnik: GM Killing Hummer H2 After 2011
That’s because GM has yet to make a $100,000 dollar Cadillac, as for XLR-V, it’s a $60,000 car with a $40,000 markup. I have seen a dealership sell 3 XLR-Vs for roughly the price of a standard XLR. AKA $20,000 dollar discount! Adding a $25,000 dollar entry level Cadillac will just further degrade exclusivity beyond what Cadillac has now! Selling 200 Sixteens globally for $250,000 would be far better than selling 40,000 entry-level models…it would give people something to aspire to! Good lord, the Malibu is going to cost more than a Cadillac! Unless GM seriously wants Cadillac to be a poser brand! Hummer is no different! The H1 was a $100,000 dollar vehicle; they launch the larger H2 at ˝ to 1/3 the H1 prices and go from a around 400 H1 sales to 10,000…yippee…. Last year Hummer had 55,986 sales…far too many for GM to offset with small cars for cafe!
