Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

I read this earlier today and am not suprised. We have seen spy pics for awhile and since the H3 is produced at Shreveport, it would only make sense.

Please let it resemble the H3T concept from years back! Not just a H3 SUT style truck!!!! I have been waiting for a H3T for ever!!!

Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

I know there are many needs right now, but for the love of all that is holy, please GM, do something with your small trucks. I was looking at a new full size truck driving down the road today and they are just so freakin' huge......all of them - GM, Ford, Toyota. There really has to be a market for folks who don't want to be driving a monster truck every day. I'm not saying it needs to be the size of a LUV, but at least update the Colorado to something that appears modern. Personally, I think a Hummer truck could do well. Hopefully it can drag its GMC and Chevy cousins along as well.

I'm with you here.....esp. when you consider some of the completely rediculous 'Hummer vs. Jeep' arguments floating around. Hummers are (somewhat) bigger, heavier and cost a hell of alot more than any of it's more 'common' competitors.

Even if it doesn't pack in much in the way of adv. technology, I can't see it coming in with a reasonable MSRP.......a Hummer truck with a sticker price between $23-24K would make it the odd one out in the Hummer lineup (considering a basic H3 starts at nearly $31k).......

Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

I have to say this I hope Lutz and Wagoner read this. I am an extremely loyal G.M. customer...bought six brand new G.M. vehicles in the last 10 years...Now that is loyalty...The new Camaro in S.S. version will be in my garage when it comes out...But I have to Say this G.M" is missing the boat on this one. They are right to produce this truck but it needs to be in a quad cad model that way you will maximize sales and --we as customers will buy.Doing a single cab version just ain't gonna fly, men want more room and they wanna show off with their friends in the truck, lift them up customize them .etc. G.M. if you are listening make a quad cab version based on the full size G.M. truck bring it to the show and watch how customers re-act to that one it would be huge---a monster hit, one other thing G.M. is lacking is a true Cadillac full size pick-up again quad cab---bring it to the shows and watch the customers look on in awwwww!!!!!. the new escalade needs some serious pumping up we need a new version that is more pumped up and lifted a little---not all us guys wanna go low---you are missing the market here---On the Escalade truck and sport utility the fenders need to bulge the grilles body colored the rims and tires and lift not to extreme just make it right the customers will see you are developmental leaders, not followers--G.M. create your own market like Honda did with the Ridgeline do not be a follower no more...Put all these models into concept form, put them in the shows make them striking and producible and then gage the car show crowds response...Then the top ones produce them...Look at Ford and the Mustang they keep adding different models to their special little car so it does not date and customers keep wanting... G.M. you have got to be different, strike out with design -make different version of each model faster you will create a whole new clientele within your portfolio....I run a multi million dollar business and I know you have to keep customers excited and loyal to you, do not give them a chance to look else where... shock us, think outside the box of design. Make the Models I Just talked about engage the crowds and lets see where new buyers can be bought ---expand on your current models ---just stop doing it half ass-ed....Later

That looks good but not half assed means more than style...
Lets get a good 6 speed transmission so this Hummer breaks the 20mpg barrier and gets with the program

That's good news that the truck will be built. That might be the most interesting Hummer on the lot. Will this be called H3T?
No Ridiculous. How can a Pickup have a tiny 4ft bed?

A 30 MPG H3...

That'd be a good punch in the teeth to Toyota.

My point is how useful could it be, with rising fuel prices in the US. It is not a Sportscar, not a car, not really a pickup and but a two person SUV?

Notice they dropped the two door configuration. More in line with a Nissan Triton here. Same size engine, proposed diesel engine..
