Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

All Gm has to do is add Diesels to the lineup and hybrid diesels and they will keep selling like hot cakes. Why they are taking their time I really don’t understand.

The new model will be smaller than GM's full-size Chevrolet Silverado pickup and bigger than the Colorado
Sounds like its going to be similar to the crew cab long box mule that's been running around. I would be interested in a reg cab short box H3T with the Isuzu 3.0 diesel 4cyl, but that's not likely to happen.

Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

That's good news that the truck will be built. That might be the most interesting Hummer on the lot. Will this be called H3T?

I guess the future 4.5 diesel won't fit underneath that hood.

Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

I remember hearing that the 4.5 diesel would fit anywhere an LS V8 would fit, and the Alpha H3 has the 5.3 in it. . . .so it should fit.

Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

For a Christmas present I want this truck to bring GM back as King to the smaller truck segment.
The idea of the Toyota Tacoma as the #1 selling small truck gives me heart palpitations.

Re: Hummer pickup to be produced at Shreveport

Great news that they are building it in LA, but it makes sense that they would.

For any of you that think this truck will be a huge seller, think again. There is no way that this can do anything to take sales away from anyone else. It will be a cool niche vehicle but nothing more.
