True..but ls9 and ls3 are supposed to have somewhere near 6.2 l or about 379 ci.

The LS3 is a replacement for the LS2. The LS9 is going in the Blue Devil Corvette. There will still be the Z06 model with the LS7. Plus, the LS9 is only a S/C LS3.

Same for me too. I look at the concept here and think that the truck looks right, and as a four door, no way. On a lesser note, I think the hood scoop would have to change or be taken off and the front air ducts need some revision. If you give this truck four doors and a regular drive height, I know I'm definitely less interested.

Re: Hot Silverado 427 SS Concept May be Built

This is what everyone on here is drooling over LOL its mediocre at best, and whats with the ugly air duct below the headlights ? Put a differant badge on it and everyone on here would hate it. Engine is great but the rest in nothing special.

Nothing beats the 04 svt lighting concept.

I disagree. It should always be a 2 door truck if it will be an SS.

Selling something lie this would be awesome. I would say go for it, though keep it as a regular cab, maybe an extended cab option, but that's it.

And what would the gas mileage be? Is this realistic in the world we live in?

Re: Hot Silverado 427 SS Concept May be Built

I would like to see them cover the performance truck/suv market, offer a SS 427 in reguar, extended and crew versions, and throw a Tahoe/Avalanche/Suburban version in as well, along with an LS powered Colorado SS, and a new Zeta based ElCamino SS.

What will they use in the C6 Z06 if they killed the LS7? LS9 is going in the $100,000 Corvette and the LS3 will be the base motor........

Re: Hot Silverado 427 SS Concept May be Built

There wont be enough people willing to pay the price GM is going to ask for it, even if it is reasonable. The SRT-10 was a failure because of cost and the lightening sold because it was cheap.

In comparing the two , I perfer the " Lightning" looks. But as for the engine, the 427 SS wins Unless!!! Ford comes out with the Hurricane V8 It would look freakin awesome on this bad boy
