Re: GMT 900 stuff from Dealerworld

If you look close the fenders kinda scale back a bit, following the colorado/canyon.

Re: GMT 900 stuff from Dealerworld

That front bumper is def differnent than the other gmt900s we have seen. From what i can tell, (which still isnt much), the bed seems to have a very little gap between it and the cab or the bed kind of wraps into the cab. The "classic" part I already mentioned in another thread a while back. Ford I beleive calls theirs "heritage". It also show that it sits much higher than the other one pictured

Go to 07 then passenger cars. Now click on chevy trucks. In the upper left corner there is a 07 Truck and Camper loading guide. It is about 11 pages and the new stuff starts on like page 6 or so.

How long do you guys think it will take for GM to take it down?

First thing that came to my mind was S10 with the shape of the taillights.

I'm not a truck person (though I did have a 2000 Xtended Cab S10 Xtreme that I really liked) but I have to say GM's new trucks are VERY nice looking. I've never liked the Tahoe at all, but the new one is really good looking.

If I were a truck person I'd definitely have a GM truck.

But I'm waiting for the Camaro...

Re: GMT 900 stuff from Dealerworld

Forgive me, but this question may show my ignorance.

Why do some people want trucks to be higher off the ground?

What is the practical advantage of this?

If you look at trucks from the '60s, '70s and '80s they are all pretty low to the ground.

Why is that I have seen comments from several people that they need to higher?

It seems like ingress/egress, stability and gas mileage would all be worse with a truck that sits higher off the ground.

Please explain.

Re: GMT 900 stuff from Dealerworld

Looks a lot better, I glade to see that the ground clearance on the front end is pretty good. It looks like it has the same ground clearance as the GMT-800.

I hope that GM will have the Allison 6speed standard.

I hear you. It seems like there is a "size war" going on. Personally I would rather have the smallest vehicle that can do the job, just cause they're easier to manuever.

Re: GMT 900 stuff from Dealerworld

It looks great, but I still don't like how the front end is lower than the rest of the vehicle.

I think that picture is of a GMC Sierra, because the Chevy would have a bar going through the grille
