GMI Get's Shot Of 2007 Silverado Interior

GMI Get's Shot Of 2007 Silverado Interior

The picture above is of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD Extended Cab (whoo..what a name!). This is the first image of the GMT-900 truck interior. Notice that it follows close in layout to the GMT-800 trucks, which is ergonomically a great design. This image also busts all the myths that the Silverado interior would be just like the Tahoe's. It is believed that the truck pictured is of a model that will be one level above base.

Looks like cloth bench seat, so this might be an LS leveled car. At least that is my guess.

Re: GMI Get's Shot Of 2007 Silverado Interior

It looks clean and functional, from what I can tell from this shot, it doesn't look like it overtakes the f-150 in truck interior leadership though. But I fully expect it to have the best powertrain combinations in the segment though.

Re: GMI Get's Shot Of 2007 Silverado Interior

Excellent!!
It retains the truck-like door panel, with the large door handles and grip. Which is good when you're wearing gloves.
Also the buttons on the center stack seem larger too.

OK... I think it looks better than the Ford F's. At least it doesn't carry over from Tahoe.

Good job GM!

Also note that it has the lowest-level HVAC system (non-auto). This is a base level tester.

Re: GMI Get's Shot Of 2007 Silverado Interior

The more and more I looked at it, the more I saw a hard plastic shroud covering the IP... I thought GM was departing from that. *Sigh* oh well, I need a truck, and I'll take what GM gives, but I wish it was more distinctive, and less "Nissan" like.

The improved steering wheel caught my eye first.

I like it. I wonder what the higher trim levels will look like. I like that fact that is pretty much different from the tahoe and other 900 suv's.

Wholy cow! I think I see a plastic 4wd lever bezel on the floor! Good to know they are not going the girly push button Autocrap route across the board on all GMT900’s.

2011 is an improvement in the HD chassis albeit GM could have done much better

Re: GMI Get's Shot Of 2007 Silverado Interior

I think its funny that Gm actually thinks it needs to tape over the bow-tie on the steering wheel, like u couldn't tell what it was already!

Does anyone notice the "tap shift" on the column shifter? So if this is a base model does this mean that they will all have a 6 speed tranny. Cause isn't this a pic of the HD? That would be great if they all had the 6 speed tranny?

Also, not to complain but where are the exterior pics?
Even though this is pretty dang good anyway.

GREAT JOB ON THE TRUCK SO FAR GM!
