GMC TopKick and Chevy Kodiak Diesels Get a Kick from K&N

As if the existing torque on the TopKick and Kodiak's 6.6L V8 Duramax Diesel wasn't enough....get 30 more with K&N's new Intake! - Ming

Add 14.9 HP, 29.9 Torque to 2004 & 2005 GMC TopKick and Chevy Kodiak Diesels with K&N Air Intake
OpenPR.com
8/15/2007

K&N Engineering, Inc. has released a performance air intake (part 77-3063KTK) for the 2004-2005 and 2006 GM TopKick 4500/5500 Duramax Diesels. All applications are listed below.

K&N dyno tests show a 14.92 horsepower gain @ 2612 RPM. Model years 2004-2005 of the 4500/5500 Duramax received a 29.99 ft-lb increase @2612rpm. K&N Engineers replaced the TopKick’s original intake assembly with an all-new High Flow Air Intake design. The new system gets air from the O/E fresh air inlet through an oversized conical shaped K&N High-Flow Air Filter that never needs to be replaced.

A powder coated steel heat shield mounts in place of the stock air box. It protects the chrome top K&N Air Filter and isolates it from engine heat. The 77-3063KTK retains the use of the O/E Mass Airflow Sensor and attaches to the CNC-machined MAF sensor mount welded to the intake tube. It takes about 90 minutes to install this K&N Air Intake which is backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. Like all K&N air intakes this system is guaranteed to add horsepower.

Vehicle applications are as follows:

2005 GMC TOPKICK CK5500 6.6L V8 DSL
2005 GMC TOPKICK CK4500 6.6L V8 DSL
2005 CHEVROLET KODIAK CK5500 6.6L V8 DSL

If I could afford a TopKick truck like that I would purchase the K&N filter and slap it on that baby!!!

What makes this so differant than any other performance part offered for the 6.6l? The aftermarket is filled with diesel goods.

Sounds like a good option and wish I could afford, but does anyone know how much a transforming Topkick would cost?
