of course this just means Chevy is just started and needs to continue to produce at a rate better than Toyota. that's just a given.
I probably wasn't fully clear, I do agree with you.

I'm also saying what they do once they get their ducks in order is equally important. The second act, so to speak, has to be as good as this first act we're starting to witness.

It will be nice to see a slew of attractive, useful, practical vehicles.

You know, GM is really Stupid to kill the Trailblazer.. Just like ford killing its minivans.
They are giving a who market Segment to Toyota , Nissan & Mitsubishi.

Do you think Toyota is going to kill 4 Runner? or Nissan is going to kill Pathfinder?

GM should upgrade the poor trail blazer to compete. The Best way is to sell it for the Global Market, Just like the Japanese companies do.
GM Should THINK GLOBAL The World is not America
The Accadia will not sell well outside US. For example do you expect a unibody SUV to tackle African or Siberian Rugged Territory?
But the 4 runner can...

TrailBlazer is global. It's not available in RHD like the old Blazer was, but it is sold in Japan, the Middle East and parts of Europe. In fact, the Iraqi Police are starting to use them.

Wow, a picture is worth a thousand words, times two! Those pictures definitely sum up the dark past and (hopefully) brighter future of GM!

They had better. "Uplander" is a horrible name with a similar reputation.

Re: GMC Minivan Spy Shot in Popular Mechanics Magazine

I think they need to look at the future of the GMT355/360 as a single project. Hummer will still want an H3 and there are still people out there that want something a little smaller that's body on frame. We just need something that gets a little better fuel economy. I average 15-18 in my Bravada and the new 900's probably get around that with AFM and the dual modes are on the way. They should be looking at something that breaks the 20mpg barrier in the real world.
