Production of the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali began this morning at General Motors' Lansing Delta Township assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan. The latest addition to the Acadia line will start arriving in dealerships later this month.

The first Acadia Denali to roll of the assembly line was a white diamond model. That particular Acadia will be delivered to a dealership in Vadosta, Georgia. Acadia Denali has a base price of $43,220, excluding destination charges.

This will be a winner. Hope it maintains enough uniqueness in order to justify the "Denali" designation and its price tag.

I'm sure this won't steal any Enclave sales at all...

I think it needs a more powerful engine. Just my opinion.

Looks like I'll have to keep saving. This is the look the regular Acadia was missing, and it looks great!

    $43k? Really?

Is this really a test run of entry-level luxury Lambdas that will serve as some type of test bed for a future Lambda-based Cadillac?

I was hoping that the Denali would get the 305 hp reating that the caddy gets out of it's 3.6DI Is there a reason that this can't happen in the lamdas?

    What is GMC's aim?

To be professional grade? Or to be a luxury brand? They seem to be working on the fluff (Denali) and not the gruff (there's no "professional grade" level of mechanical upgrade from a pedestrian Chevy truck).

Agreed. The Acadia Denali cheapens the Denali brand in my opinion as on the other Denali trucks it comes with more power under the hood. This is essentially a fully loaded SLT chrome trim package with a different grill.

My thoughts exactly. There's no way possible, nope, not at all.

At least as an option, this trim of the Acadia needed to have more power. I'm not thinking 6-cylinders either unless it included forced-induction.

But I hope it does well, despite conflicting with the Enclave in my logic.

I agree. GMC is supposed to be a high end truck brand and their products should be a little tougher and more capable than a Chevy or Buick.

I am excited that the Lambdas will get the TTV6 at some point, but I'm sure that probably won't be for atleast a couple years.
