That's a damn good idea. The free lunch is the real clincher.

Yes, free food and new vehicles. They should do this with the Vette's and CTS's... I know, it'll never happen.

"I will buy a new truck when the economy picks up"
If your a big enough corporation you buying new pickups might help speed that up.

Out-of-the-box thinking is usually a good thing. I think that this is a good example.
I'd love to see data suggesting that this effort works... though I'm guessing we'll never be privy to that kind of information. |

This idea came from GM???!!
Wow, incredible thinking. I think this will do some good for the truck sales and get more Chevy's at the jobsite instead of Tundras.

The only Tundra's i see on the jobsite belong to the Mexican folks , and have 14 inch rims that are 12 inches wide . Lots of Datsun's and Nissan's also . They like the rims to stick out past the fenders a good 4 or 5 inches , makes a Toyota look good i think .

Good try, but showing off trucks still won't make them bullish about the market, and willing to spend 50K on a Duramax.

Re: GM Truck Showrooms Drive to New Locations, Literally
It may not help a lot, but I like the idea. If contractors see that a company like GM is catering to them, then they may be interested to buy. Most people don't go to a showroom unless they feel they need a new truck, so this is a way to show them the new trucks capabilities and that possible feeling.
