That's a damn good idea. The free lunch is the real clincher.

I'd like that free lunch! Talk about it, get to look at new vehicles and get food!

Yes, free food and new vehicles. They should do this with the Vette's and CTS's... I know, it'll never happen.

"I will buy a new truck when the economy picks up"

If your a big enough corporation you buying new pickups might help speed that up.

Out-of-the-box thinking is usually a good thing. I think that this is a good example.

I'd love to see data suggesting that this effort works... though I'm guessing we'll never be privy to that kind of information.

This idea came from GM???!!

Wow, incredible thinking. I think this will do some good for the truck sales and get more Chevy's at the jobsite instead of Tundras.

The only Tundra's i see on the jobsite belong to the Mexican folks , and have 14 inch rims that are 12 inches wide .

Lots of Datsun's and Nissan's also . They like the rims to stick out past the fenders a good 4 or 5 inches , makes a Toyota look good i think .

Good try, but showing off trucks still won't make them bullish about the market, and willing to spend 50K on a Duramax.

At this time, Toyota isn't forecasting much sales from jobsites anyway

Re: GM Truck Showrooms Drive to New Locations, Literally

It may not help a lot, but I like the idea. If contractors see that a company like GM is catering to them, then they may be interested to buy. Most people don't go to a showroom unless they feel they need a new truck, so this is a way to show them the new trucks capabilities and that possible feeling.
