Maybe, they want Land Rover to be the updscale brand and Hummer to be a true Jeep fighter (which means they have to get the cost in line).

I find it ironic that India had to gain independence from Britain, only later to buy one of the truly iconic British names. Talk about come-uppance!

And, in today's paper I saw the H3's were going for $8700 off. Hmm...maybe I should consider purchasing the Hummer. I don't drive that much and for that type of deal...woohoo!
