And Torrent is no more, so only4 products
I had heard earlier that the vue, equinox, and new GMC Terrain would all have different sheetmetal and interiors. I also thought the Cadillac and other versions would be build in Mexico.

I am with you. The GMC interior and exterior are much cleaner than the the Chevrolets. I am not a fan of the Trailblazer or the Envoy at all, but i would have to say that the Envoy interior has just a little something that the Trailblazer is lacking.

And the fact that they are different products. I've heard a number of people that like the Sierra but don't like the Silverado. The two outlets gives a wider range of choice.

I am so sick of hearing this. Because if it is people like me we prefer GMC over the Chevy equivalent, look at the Sierra compaired to the Silverado and you will understand. In fact the GMC's come with more standard equipment then the Chevys anyway (in some models).

Answer...

The same amount of Oldsmobile customers that went to other GM brands...

Which amounts to zero, basically...this is coming from one of the last Oldsmobile franchises to be in existance...

Re: GM to shift small crossover to GMC

Saw a Chevrolet Captiva today... it looks very very good. Better than the Antara / Vue... and different enough that it could be sold tomorrow alongside the Vue without problem, if you ask me. I say convert Cami as soon as possible to build the Vue and Captiva (call it Equinox for the US) and Terrain... though the Terrain needs a new look if they're going to keep the Vue.

Re: GM to shift small crossover to GMC

The Terrain does not need a new look. Waste of money. Just rebadge it and sell via two separate channels. GM essentially wasted money on building two different midsize cars - G6 and Aura - and now one lingers without an update because GM found they can't afford it. As long as Saturn remains a standalone channel, GM should rebadge as it can.

OTOH, when Saturn is finally integrated into GM and its lineup curbed to fit within GM's lineup, no rebadges please.
