You, sir, are indeed crunked.

Talk about outclassed and defunct and I don't think of Chrysler products, I think of the Uplander/Montana SV6/Terazza trio of dismal.

Besides the minivan edge Chrysler has over GM, also:

How does the Lucerne/LaCrosse outclass/shine the 300/300C?

How does the Trailblazer shame the Grand Cherokee?

The Charger vs the Impala? (Especially in V8 trims)

Is the Viper so much worse than a Z06?

The HHR vs. PT Cruiser? It's a wash.

And then what of all the Chrysler vehicles to which GM doesn't have a competitor?

Re: GM Responds To Jeep Wrangler Success; Hummer H4 Gets Green Light

GM would be better served by a H3 like vehicle sold as a chevy world wide, with a diesel and perhaps Land Cruiser II like capabilities and styling. Hummer will not move enough volume

The H3 is global, it's sold in Europe, Japan, Arabia, Australia, South Africa, and in some markets it comes with a diesel.

C'mon guys, they have to have meetings about committees, consult the committees, sign papers, have lunches, more meetings, consult a focus group, consult a second committee to analyze the data, etc., etc., etc., then they can move on to phase 2.

A turbodiesel would do wonders, in this regard. Slightly better (less sensitive to nicks and scratches) interior plastics. The Wrangler's interior looks great, but the plastics could be just a little better. Easier convertibility of the roof would be welcome. Putting up the top, on the 4 door, is a heavy affair, and leaks can occur if it is not done right. Befitting a luxury brand, Hummer should have powered sliding panels (like the SRX or G6), which could stack at the rear edge of the roof, by the D-pillars. Even a power, roll-back, fabric roof, of a similar concept to the G6's hard panels, would make top operation easier and more fun for women buyers, who might lack the upper body strength to wrestle with the Wrangler's top.
Are you sure you want all that sort of power equipment on an H4? I always thought that part of the idea with the Wrangler was to keep it simple. Or am I missing the point here?

This wont sell. GM should have made a new K5 blazer instead. With a SFA of course.

That would have been cool!

How won't it sell? Just because your mom won't buy it? If it's a cheap Hummer it will have buyers. Hummer needs a smaller vehicle like this.

Yeah, I'm surspised as well. There is about 300 of em around here. Way more than Wranglers, and H3's.

It will have to be under $20,000 for it to have a chance.

I thought the H3 would sell well, but it really didn't. Because the FJ and Wrangler Unlimited are around $10,000 cheaper. And then the gas price fiasco hit.
