Re: GM Releases Photos of New Hybrid/XFE Trucks

Is the Hybrid badging any worse than the "TRD" (TURD) stickers on the back of Tacoma's?

Anyone else think of Charmin when they see one of these or is it just me?

Re: GM Releases Photos of New Hybrid/XFE Trucks

Speaking of hybrids or should I say hybrid humor. Yesterday I was crusing down the freeway and a motorhome was pulling a focus behind. In the rear window of the focus was a huge sticker that said "Cut me some slack, can't you see I'm pushing this big motorhome" LOL

Isn't the statistic something like 53% of Prius Buyers buy it to show they care for the environment as opposed to the fuel economy? GM certainly could have made the hybrid badges more classy and subtle, but they certainly make sure people know they are hybrids, thus making them meet the needs of 53% of potential buyers.

Boy, they sure went all out with the XFE sticker, didn't they? I'd give that about two car washings before it falls off.

On a related note, I saw a black Tahoe hybrid this morning on my way into work. The owner had removed the large hybrid stickers on the lower doors, but it still had the emblems and large air dam intact. Really, I think those features would have been enough without the graphics.

The first of the Prius delivered here back in 2000 came with cling stickers for the back window that read: Eat My Voltage

Sounds like it would belong more on a Volt.

Does the pickup get an aluminum hood like the Tahoe? or other weight saving components?

If it hasn't been mentioned yet...

For those who are whining about the big amount of effort for a small increase in fuel mileage, go here:

http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/n...treply&t=68084

mpg AND horsepower bump for the XFE models, I think this is pretty good. Plus, the lowered ride height and other aerodynamic enhancements make the xfe silverado more aerodynamic than the new Dodge Ram. The new Ram supposedly beat the Silverado but the XFE model regains its class-leading place with better drag coefficient numbers.

Personally I think GM could do with fewer decals of all types on their trucks. Including Z71 and 4X4. The Hybrid decals are worse than those abominations, IMO.
