Re: GM Releases Photos of New Hybrid/XFE Trucks

I just wish they would've put something on them that really made a statement, where people would know you were in a Hybrid.

I am thinking something subtle, like green neon lighted leaves on curb-feelers on all four wheel wells.

Agreed!
But something a tad more classy than the ugly HYBRID sticker on the Yukon/Tahoe.

Oh. Wait.

Re: GM Releases Photos of New Hybrid/XFE Trucks

I remember when Japanese cars proudly wore a badge declaring they had a four speed. Didn't the 3cyl metro come with a sticker in the back window proudly displaying 50mpg? Or how about Saturn's Twin Cam badge - I'm sure that really helped move them off the dealer lot.

They really should have made a tow-behind "HYBRID" billboard mandatory with the 2-Mode option. That way, everyone will know it's a hybrid!

In all seriousness, the amount of badging on these trucks is ridiculous. If I were to buy one, I'd be out there with a blow dryer, goo remover, and a razor blade to get rid of all but the fender emblems.

It seems like GM has an inferiority complex when it comes to badging it's hybrids.

Naah it is more for the buyers who need reassurance about their purchase and need to show it off to everyone so they don't feel as guilty. That and they need to get a bit more for the $10k or so extra they just paid (prior to any tax breaks)

That rear wheel arch flare looks so big from behind yet on the 3/4 fron on shots it is barely noticable.

Re: GM Releases Photos of New Hybrid/XFE Trucks

The Hybrid badges on these GM vehicles are not subtle, no. But they are no more garish than the old IROC-Z badges on the Camaro or some of the stick-on from the factory badging I see on "off road" packages of Ford and Toyota pickup trucks. Hell, I have a GTO sitting in the garage for 6.0 Litre badges on both front fenders and on the rear and a Chrysler with Hemi on the side and SRT8 badges.

Although the window Hybrid badge is a bit over the top.....

Probably cost more than a brand new "regular" GM trucks?

Probably about the same as the sticker delete option on the Hybrid.
