I took the plunge and decided to test drive an H3 and I absolutely LOVE it.

Dealer gave me an out the door price on a base model with nothing except auto and tow package of 25k.

I was hoping there was another rebate or some type of dealer cash that would bring that closer to 23k.

While I don't argue that 25K is a great price for this vehicle - it's still a few K above our intial budget.

I wasn't looking at Hummer's but since they're throwing this 7k at me.. perhaps they can squeeze a bit more?

What do you think? is there another 1500 cash somewhere or is 25k out the door my best price ?
I'm seeing MSRP of $26375 and an invoice price of $23837 after $7K cash back.

Frankly, at $25K that dealer can pound sand, it's a crap deal.

In this climate you should be able to get it for $23K easy, just play a little good 'ol fashioned hardball. I think I'd be shopping around for an even lower number number than that as huge discounts abound on trucks and I'm willing to travel (and have done so) if necessary.

Not arguing - I am pushing for 23k out the door - but don't forget there is almost 1k in tax, and another 750 in doc fees or some other BS.

Well, I was thinking about $5K off and wouldn't be a bit surprised if you could get it, especially after these things have accumulated a bit of lot time. That'd put you at $23K out the door.

Well.. I'm not in a rush for a truck... and this rebate goes until July 31st.. so I'll wait on it a little longer and tell them I'll take it for 23 out the door and see if they bite.
If not.. oh well - I'll just wait a few months and see if we get anything better.

Are they more likely to give more toward the end of the month?

They say (although who can believe a car salesman) that this rebate ends July 31st and I haven't seen info for August rebates.

A Nissan dealer near me today announced 10k off MSRP on any pathfinder on the lot.. that is very tempting as well.

I would go for the H3 if they just come down another 1500 or so..

Right now can get a base pathfinder for 18k.. that's a steal!

Not surprised about the Pathfinder. Just about every Nissan truck has over 200 days supply.
There's like a year and a half worth of Titans out there.

I'll be very surprised if the big rebates don't continue on Hummers. In today's market they'll just sit otherwise.

I ended up getting the h3 after all

The dealer came down another 1k so it was 24k out the door.
this included a base h3, black on black, with towing and auto - nothing else.

I've already ordered my Kenwood dnx7120 and I'm loving the h3!

Congratulations on your new Hummer!

One of the first things I noticed about the H3 is the complete lack of stereo integration.... not even any volume buttons on the steering wheel.

Some people would say this is a terrible thing, but IMO GM knows a lot of Hummers get customized. So kudos for making it a easy as possible.

Yes really, - for all of them ie any OEM - if there ever was a time to do what you gotta' do - rebate - fleet etc - its now.

Some of these days supply numbers are about to go beyond ugly - look where we are on the calender.

Sounds great, until you try and trade it in five years later and take a bath on resale.

Anyone considering buying anything *new* with such weak demand, and with so much cash on the hood, should think long and hard about how long they'll want to keep it.

Smart people buy cheap up front and drive the wheels off.

If I get one it won't be new and resale won't be a concern. My last two trucks were 17 years old when I sold them and my current Tahoe will be about that old when I sell it.

Exactly!! Buy it when it's cheap and use it for what it's worth.
This is a keeper until it dies.. we needed a sport ute for the dog and home depot...

For this price - and for looking cool in the drive way - plus a little fun time to time.. you can't beat it!
