Re: GM Introduces 2007 Avalanche (New Pictures, Info)
Nice i just saw the pictures. Very impressive. The Ridgelines sales should be even less now. When is the Silverado shown?

Re: GM Introduces 2007 Avalanche (New Pictures, Info)
It should've had a power rear glass instead of the removeable one, and there should be an offroad package with a shorter front bumper and lower body-side cladding. Otherwise, it's as I expected.

Re: GM Introduces 2007 Avalanche (New Pictures, Info)
I'm glad I already put orders in the system for these ! GM Canada dealers have been able to order these for about 2 weeks now. I agree with the other comment that the back window should have been powered, but I guess you can't have everything. The power locking tailgate is a nice touch though.

Whoa! Nice...notice how they don't release pics of the dash...probably because it'll give away the GMT-900 Trucks...

Looks **************** good actually. I dont know why but I like this alot more than the Suburban/Tahoe.

Re: GM Introduces 2007 Avalanche (New Pictures, Info)
Looks great. Thanks for the pics, Mervz. It's funny how these official press shots have the front shoulder belts removed (at least that's what it looks like). I don't think removing them for these shots have makes the interior look better.
I wish there was some differentiation between the Avalanche and the Suburban/Tahoe style-wise other than the obvious of having a pickup bed on the back. The last generation was kind of neat that it had truck and SUV styling cues, but had a unique style all its own. Still, it is a looker, and although they removed a lot of the Avalanche's uniqueness, looking more mainstream may help sales, particularly if buyers wanted the utility it offered, but didn't want to drive such an in-your-face styling statement. I wish the back window retracted electrically into the midgate. I guess that would have added cost, weight, and complexity, but it would have made the conversion process simpler. |
