I beg to differ, I think that GM got it right all the way with Chevrolet's Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, and Silverado group. The GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Sierra, and Denali versions across the board are a little off the map. I still like them, but I like the chevrolet versions better

Agreed. I think this became more pronounced with the Silverado's 2003 refresh. I imagine it was to make the Silverado more aggressive looking but to me it came off as loud and annoying. The new Silverado looks better but the new Sierra looks slightly better still.

Re: First Lifted 2007 Gmt-900 GMC-7 Inch Lift! Photos!

Why all the hate because of a lifted truck? States have certain laws regarding modifications...
This truck pictured is likely as high as a stock Dodge or Ford now...not a big issue.

Accessories for trucks is the largest & best selling of any motor vehicle accessory segment....

Everyone is free to:

1. Lift up their truck, and

2. Not like lifted trucks.

Only in America can you like what you want AND dislike what you want without being called a communist. Well, actually, as this thread shows, if you say you don't like something, you are called a communist. So never mind.

Re: First Lifted 2007 Gmt-900 GMC-7 Inch Lift! Photos!

It is missing lowered bumpers or add-on bumpers to prevent excessive damage to other cars. Such "lifting" should be illegal except for off-road usage, as it makes the vehicle excessively dangerous to others on the road due to the height mismatch and the lousy handling (and braking with oversized tires and wheels).

This is not a "my rights" issues, as the rights of the driver of such a truck stop where the rights of the drivers of other vehicles on the same road begin.

Also, simple observation shows that an excessive percentage of drivers of such trucks do not drive properly - they tailgate, cut in and out, do not use turn signals, and so forth.

For a motorcyclist, EVERYTHING is excessively dangerous...And to be honest, the people I know with jacked up trucks have a hell of alot better driving skills then a 16year old girl in her boyfriends riced out import...Teenage girls in imports kill people, not men in lifted trucks.

Stop whining..you could kill someone on the road as easily as a person with a lifted truck..you need to grow up.

Suburban, Tahoe, and Avalanche: yes! they look 100 times better then GMC's full size SUV lineup. the GMC SUV's look too bloated and simple in front. but when it comes to the pickups I still gotta go with GMC's front instead of the silverados...but hey thats just me

As much as you might want to believe that, it is completely false. Consider the following simple, but important, facts:

1) It is less likely that I would run into somebody in our M-B C230 or Ford Explorer, even if I drove the exact same way as a driver of one of these ill handling, poor stopping rigs.

2) If I did run into them in either of our vehicles, the damage to their vehicle would be significantly less than if they were hit with such a rig.

Those who want to operate such rigs on the road need to take responsibility for their actions and keep them off road where they belong.
