Yea gm smart move sell more pick ups and suv's and then if price of gas is up, you go down. Smart move GM. Keep it up and you might find your self out of business.

Re: F Series Down 14.1% YTD - Silverado Up 5.1% YTD

The Ranger is still the best selling non-full size pickup in Canada. The Tacoma for some reason has never caught on here. The F-Series continues to outsell the Silverado, however, combined sales of the Silverado and Sierra outpace the big Ford. Haven't seen one new Tundra.

I thought so too, but I guess the arrow is for YTD numbers while the numbers listed are march. Kind of confusing, should have used YTD for both stats.

Re: F Series Down 14.1% YTD - Silverado Up 5.1% YTD

It's too early for any meaningful numbers since the inventories for the GM 900s and new Tundra haven't stabilized. For March alone, the figures show the Tundra is up 8.45%. Toyota is adjusting Tundra production and has room to play with prices. Gas prices and the economy are wild cards in the whole thing too.

Blame GM for selling stuff that obviously people want to buy, good job dip****. Let's all start a petition to get GM to stop producing/selling the cars and trucks people want. Yeah, that'll cure their ills, return them to profitability in a hurry.

The stupidity and shortsightedness of some people on this board continues to boggle my mind.

Why does the Dodge Ram show numbers from February and everyone else is March?

So what do you suggest? That we don't sell trucks now while they are profitable? Well crap, some day we'll run out of oil, I guess we should stop selling internal combustion engines now because the future is a loss.

Trucks are still profitable so we'll still sell them. That's why folks like Toyota are trying to get a piece of the pie.

Nice job Toyota, way to try to make money!

Take a closer look - its the only full sizer to go up from the same month last year. I'm no Toyota fan but don't confuse a delayed introduction with sales issues.

Oh yeah, the only non-full size to go up was a Toyota too. Never under-estimate the Japanese juggernaut.
