Was the tailgate on the Tundra fixed?

I guess this is a solution to the bad press, just start recommending everything.

That's a "feature," not a problem.

The domestic trucks would not be recommended if they had the service record of the Toyota.

Haha, thats exactly what I was thinking. As long as that magical laminated tailgate and list of other issues they had is fixed, I fail to see how it could still be "recommended".

This pains me...

GM needs to bring to market a very competitive compact/midsize truck... and soon...

The reliability scores of the domestics have improved enough for recommendation......well thank you so much your graciousness. What a bunch of garbage; domestic trucks have always been better. I'm on my 5th, ordered the 6th and haven't had anything to complain about. Tards!

Still? I believe the Tundra was off the "list" for a few years. The tailgate was reinforced two years ago and the other "issues" were generally overblown. The intial broken camshafts (defect from the supplier) affected a whole .06% of the initial 5.7's (30,000 units) was repaired at great cost but hasn't been a problem with other model years.

The 2007's had some issues, but for the most part have been corrected....but whatever helps you sleep at night...

I wonder which they rated higher: the Sierra or the Silverado...

Re: Consumer Reports Recommends All Full-Size Half-Ton Pickups

well i am surprised. i was sure the media hated GM. so in leiu of that, i bet they were thinking..."first is the worst, second is best, third is the one....." wait, that would mean that dodge is best. clearly my logic is flawed.

Ha, they placed the Tundra at the end of the picture, to not offend with the ugly front clip, the crab is still hideous from a far.

Re: Consumer Reports Recommends All Full-Size Half-Ton Pickups

I always forget the Titan is still around. What is the point when every fullsize truck is the list, it seems like they got lazy or did not want to kick Toyota off the list when everyone else is better.
