The argument about he Colorado being too small is pretty stupid. The Colorado is already considerably bigger than the S10, so it definitely does not need to get any bigger. If anyone needs a bigger truck, then they need a full size. That's all there is to it. We all know they can't make 5 different sized trucks, considering they already make 3 cab configurations for each truck. The thing I can't get into is the new big and bulky full size trucks that everyone is making. They're really getting too big now. |

Re: Colorado Redesign for Thailand; US version coming?
Yes, I saw one at the Sydney Auto Show a couple of years ago, very impressive little truck ... and with a brand new 4.0L Turbo Diesel engine.

That is too bad it didn't make it. The one I saw in Sydney had one.

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
So what is the updated news on this? Is this the redesigned Colorado for the US or what?
Take that, add the V8 with AFM and I'm all set. I'll order it tomorrow, in a GMC Canyon version however! Scratch that, here is what the Colorado should offer: 1. Redesigned exterior and interior with a longer bed and larger rear-seat 2. V8 w/ AFM and Hybrid Technology 3. 6-Speed Auto Tranny A Denali Canyon would be sick as well.... Looks too much like a Nissan Frontier.
Just like the ZR2 was made to compete against the Tacoma but how is the Colorado gonna compete against the newly redesigned Tacoma? |

The 4-litre "Asian" Ranger is a South African product. They exported the last-gen 4-litre Ranger to Oz, maybe they're prepping a 4-litre export model of the new style...

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
This looks good and I assume this is what Holden will be getting in a couple of months. Hopefully the 3.6 V6 will still be available as well.
I love the size of the current Colorado / DMax. As a person who missed out on the 'height gene' I cannot reach easily into the current Hilux tray. The DMax (or whatever you call it - Rodeo, Colorado etc) is a better packaged vehicle. The 4x4 gets the same ground clearance as the Hilux but the body sits lower on the frame so access is better. The interior needs a major working over but the basics - frame, engine, suspension - are top notch. |
