Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
GM needs to ditch this POS. get rid of the entire platform, its a waste of my time from a mechanical point of view. i hate working on these things, i think it was ugly before, and i think its just as bad if they do the update. looks like a ugly silverado/tahoe, it looks cheap in my opinion.

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
I have not heard of any MCE on the 355's, mainly becuase a full redo is just down the road. However I don't think I would rule out them not slapping that front end on it...simply so it matches the new Chevrolet look.

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
The exterior is not the problem with these trucks. They need vastly improved interiors, 6-spd. transmissions, better reliability and more content for the dollar. Naturally these pictures don't tell us anything about these elements, but I don't believe we've gotten any word on improvements in these areas. I have to agree that rather than offering an inferior product that diminishes GM's truck reputation, they should save the R&D and marketing expense and just drop the line. Although I would much rather they see the value in the segment, and offer something competitive.

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
I'm not big on the front end the tailend I agree I coudl do without
I actually prefer my colorado ;-) I like my interior except I wish I had the leather option and wish it had a v8 but the I-5 isn't that bad but I do plan to swap a LS1 into it

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
I'll bet this is the 2009 look. I think there's a new 355 coming in 2010. Look to South America for the updated model as GM has given GM Brazil, (South America), the lead on the redesign of the midsized trucks.
Last I heard from Lutz on Autoline Detroit.

Like the front end on it. Has some potential, but the platform is still too small to really take on the likes of the Dakota and Tacoma as it current sits

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
I LOVE it! It looks like a Baby Avalanche from the front and I do like that tailgate.

Re: Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
The new Dakota looks like an evolution of the last gen, which in my opinion is a good thing. The styling of the current Dakota/Durango was always disappointing to me since I used to like them a lot. Which, the styling of Chrysler has gone downhill in general, I mean come on the cab forward look and all that was so cutting edge and now everything they make is a brick on the outside and gray plastic on the inside! Dang you Mercedes!!
Also on topic, a cleaned up version of that Colorado would be of interest with an improved interior and a V8. Not to sound like an ignorant redneck but I still prefer my S-10, GM should really look backwards like Dodge when designing their next small pickup (not to mention sidewayz at Nissan/Toyota!).
