Colorado MCE for Thailand; US version coming?
I didn't see this on any truck threads, so forgive me if this is a repost -- I did try to search for similar news...
The pics below are from a website that claims this redesigned Colorado was spotted in a mall in Thailand. It is a refreshend version of the current Colorado, but much more attractive (and even a bit upscale looking) from our version. If this is what they are selling in Thailand -- will they sell it in the US? SOURCE 1 ![]() ![]() SOURCE 2 ![]() ![]() ![]() What do you guys think? I wonder if they will update the interior as well? Combining a new look with a new V8 engine would be a nice way to increase sales and keep folks interested until an all new product emerges. It also makes me wonder what GMC version would look like....

Ours need to grow in size, and better interior and powertrains to compete with Tacoma and Titan.
Ford and GM seem to have let this segment go the minivan way

Thank God it needs it. My Aunt just bought one last year it looks so dated on the interior, even the leather seems behind the curve.

As for the updated Colorado, GM could do MUCH worse than bring the same kind of refreshened styling to our domestic version. The styling is a bit derivative and doesn't break any new ground (it kinda reminds me of a previous generation Nissan Frontier), but certainly attractive.

What about the interior? Anything new?

I still can't get over the fact there's no V6. An I5??!!?
Also how come Toyota and Nissan have trucks and body on frame SUV's all over the world and GM and Ford struggle to do so?

However, take a look at the clearer pics -- they are dated 3/5/2007. So these pics are really "old" in comparision to what we normally see. If this is the case, then perhaps someone has interior picks that will break soon. Lets hope they gave it a decent update ---- and of course that the updated vehicle makes it Stateside.

Re: Colorado Redesign for Thailand; US version coming?
The front end looks like it belongs on a car. With that said, our Colorado is ugly and this looks a little better. I agree with Monza, we need a good V6 and a better interior. These trucks are emabarrassing for GM right now.

Re: Colorado Redesign for Thailand; US version coming?
That thing is SWEET looking!!!! I especially like the SUV style headlites! Not a huge fan of the taillites, but they are ok! Slap some different wheels on it and a V8 in it and it is ready to go IMO!

Re: Colorado Redesign for Thailand; US version coming?
The front-end is much better, but the tailgate is terrible, but that may be just for the Thai market?
