That thing sounds sick at wide open throttle.

Given the choice, I'd take the Terrain over the 'Nox. I think both look great, but once I saw a Terrain in person, I was sold.

And it really doesn't look "crazy", as some have put it, in person. Seen a few around here and they are quite normal here. Nice to see them here in a city with small streets and ****ty parking. And the fact that it gets better hwy mileage than a MINI, well, it makes me smile.

Sounds cool, but a little soft on torque relative to the RAV4 V6. And still a little heavier than it needs to be. Wife still interested in looking at the Chevy. Doesn't like the look of the GMC.

Torque? Oh, my...GM has consistently manhandled the Japanese in the torque game, but no one ever game them credit.

Looks are subjective, for sure. I like the Nox better, but jsut me...Terrain is still good, but they waited so long to bring out the "chiseled" look from past concepts. Back end could be more in line with the front, but still clean design.

Interesting quote from the video:

Quote:
Inside, it's obvious this truck started out as a Pontiac Torrent replacement; that is, until Pontiac got the ziggy, and GM needed a new home for it's crossover companion to the Equinox. As a result, the dashboard is splattered with Pontiac red. This isn't a bad thing, in fact, the red illuminated highlights framing the center console look great without being too distracting.

I think you are right.

That said, I do like it as is. It fits the GMC profile.

That's what I was thinking too. It sounds even better than the 3.6. I am now a believe of the 3.0 V6.

Never a chance it was going to be a Pontiac, it was announced as a GMC in early '07 to Cami employees.

Re: Autoweek video review : 2010 GMC Terrain

I finally saw one in person and I fell in love with it. I think this may replace my Sierra 1500. I need to look into practicality more with a family now.

Nice review. I thought that instrument panel looked a lot like the G8's. Now we know why.

Re: Autoweek video review : 2010 GMC Terrain

I saw the Terrain a little while back, and it looks way better in person.
