All in all, a very good day for General Motors.
The change in the extended cab design is dramatic. Should really help sales of this model.
so far i like the sierra much better than the silverado for sure. i think its the headlights is what does it in for the silverado- all that chrome.
why is the storage bin on the center console so narrow?
still no driver side grab handle.

The more I see it the more I like it! Good job not butchering an already good looking truck GM.
of course i like it. But sad these side by sides are needed
Love these new trucks, more so the GMC. Very manly, yet still elegant. (Argh, ARGH, ARGH!) Thats suppose to be the Tim Allen grunt from Home Improvement lol.
It's a good job on GM's part, they did what they had to do. I like the GMC better myself, but man I love that blue paint job on the Silverado (at the launch video). It's going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out in the market. All of the D3 trucks are compelling in one way or the other.

I like the new trucks.
Thye looks like a truck a construction guy can use. The Dodge and Ford have leaned so far into the overstyled front that they are almost too pretty to be used as a work truck. Not sure if I'm making my point well or not. The GM's look strong, rugged and desirable, but not so much that I'd be afraid to use them on the job.
It still is not what I expected or wanted, you can see the evolution in the pics...
IF IT AINT RWD; AND A CHEVY I DONT RIDE IT!!!!!
ALL CHEVY'S NEED TO BE RWD!!!!!
In the sea of new automotive faces,
there's nothing like the appreciation and beauty of an older model. Let's represent!
I really like it.
Lots of complaints, as expected. Nobody likes change.
Give it time. It will grow on you.
The only concern I have is that the speedometer is off to the right. It might be difficult to see.

Absolutely horrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What changed? all they did was square them up even more. The interior is absolutely hideous. Who cares if it is all new underneath. It still looks like the same old homely truck we have had for the last 7 years.
I have been a huge GM fan for the first 30 years of my life, especially the trucks. I have owned many of them.
The 2006 GMC Sierra I have will be my last.
Its pathetic that the designers at GM actually got paid
1979 Chevy K10 Stepside (350 4-spd, waiting to be restored)
2006 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 (Z71, 80,000 mi, leather,5.3 )
2007 Kawasaki KLX 250 (street legal dual sport, 70 mpg, woo hoo!)
2011 Dodge Charger (3.6 V6)
So the new trucks look to stand a good 2-3" taller at the bed. Its difficult for me to put things in the bed of a 4X4 GM truck as it is now and Im 6'5".
I really like the new "extended" cab for sure though. I wonder what the lever trim level wheels will look like.
Some people just don't take the hint. Ignore is such an amazing feature. Yes, I know Ed753 will continue to try to interact. I just simply don't care about it anymore. It used to be fun to argue with a middle aged man who assumes he can do no wrong but these days it's just not worth it.
what a let down. There is so little styling chage here, it's sad.

2004 Grand Am SE V6 with 1SB package. Faster then my 2,4L Cobalt auto was! More fun to drive too.
The exterior difference is staggering
The old interior looks loads better than the new one, IMO
