Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

It's too protruding. From the oversized chrome grill, to the huge wheel wells. It's just very proportionate. GMC is another brand that should of died because of all the rebadges. Buick should of been the first to go, and by first, I mean BEFORE Oldsmobile!

GMC realized that after the first batch of mules went through testing. The second batch had square wheels and tires but the engineers had problems sorting out the lumpy steering, choppy ride and odd NVH characteristics of the vehicle. As it was late in the design phase and the body stamping dies had already been made, they took the cheaper route and went back to round wheels and tires.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

THIS THING IS HAWT, i might drive down to my local B/G/C to check it out.

now im wondering how much room there is if you empty out the vehicle and fold down all the seats...lets just say i need to know for "future oppurtunities"

No seriously, the equinox is nice but its just too "organic and smooth" like how one poster said, it isnt polarizing...people can like it and "deal with it" because it gets good mpg and handles fine [this in reference to a purchase being made of equinox]

But see the terrain, is VERY polarizing and the buyer needs to fall in love with the design to have at it, not just because it gets great mpg, can seat X,etc etc.

Besides its different, in the same camp as the MKT

Not even close here. The more I see it the more I despise it. I love the Equinox however. The interior of the Terrain is VERY nice however. I love that part of it. I was hoping that by now the exterior would grow on me but not even close. It just keeps getting worse. Hopefully seeing it in person will help.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

Not nearly as bad as the Aztek, but it ain't pretty either. I expect a little better looks from GMC. Hopefully they really do look better in person?

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

Gawd that thing is UGLY!!

Fire whoever designed that thing. Seriously.

I've seen a few in person around here lately and I have to say there is simply nothing good I can say about it. Given the choice I'd take the Equinox HANDS DOWN over this boxy looking "thing".

Love it, just what GMC needs, not that GMC should be around anyway cough cough

Now wait, I see this has a Nav screen in the dash. I have yet to see this in any of our Equinox's at the dealer, even the loaded LTZ, is this an option on the Nox?

Yes, the Nox we test drove a couple months ago had the nav (LTZ).

What part of this "sucks"? I don't get what people don't like. I understand why the Aztek is thought of as ugly, but what don't people like about this? Boxy sells, look at all those other boxes on wheels (Scion XB, Nissan Cube, Honda Element)

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

Definitly polarizing...but it has a high quality look the Aztek didn't have. And it has that wierdness that works well for the Honda Ridgeline.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

Personally it is a bit much for me but it seems to be a "love or hate" type of styling so that is good and imagine those wheel arches with some big aftermarket wheels and AT tyres. I think this will be a success in the market. At least it is very visually different from the Chevy and unless you actually follow GM like we do you may never notice the link to the Chev.
