Those fenders/quarters just don't look right at any angle. Nice job, Design Studio.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

I do not care much for the looks at all....

I own a 2007 Yukon XL Denali so I really want to like the Terrain....but just not a fan of how it looks....

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

Far and away BETTER looking than the Equinox.

The Equinox is attractive enough, but it's too 'organic' for my tastes. (That's also why it's selling so well... It attracts women) If I want a Toyota, I'll just buy a Toyota. Not a Chevrolet that tries to look like one (albeit the most attractive Toyota ever made) I'm not bashing the Equinox, in fact it's very attractive and has grown on me A LOT since I first saw it.

But this... Is where it's at for me. The Terrain is edgy and kind of has this tension that I LOVE. Variety is good, folks.. Especially considering the whole world of BLAND that is going to be shoved down our throats in the next 5-10 years.

I actually see A LOT of Saturn in the design, which makes me question some things. The Terrain would look MUCH more at home in the showroom next to an Outlook instead of the Acadia. FWIW, the Outlook, after the Enclave (naturally) was my favorite Lambda.

Re: The GMC not being centered in the grille... I agree. GM did the same thing with the GMT800 update and it drove me absolutely crazy.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

The local dealer has one parked out front and it looked good as I drove by... The wheel wells do look a bit odd in the pics but the truck kind of exudes "professional grade"; Whatever the heck that means in a midsized SUV.

Pictures don't do it enough justice. Looks 10 times better in person.

The backend looks like it came from a Rendevoux; I noticed the same thing.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

This is a VERY polarizing design and I can understand that many will never like it....but it is not intended to be mainstream. That task belongs to Equinox. There is a very large dedicated hardcore base of GMCers who will be all over the Terrain. Count me in that group. Doesn't make me right and others of you wrong. Just means there's different strokes for different folks...and that's OK. I am convinced it will do well with the target market...and that does not necessarily mean the target is you. The Flex is very polarizing also but production is barely keeping up with demand.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

The black mesh grille does wonders on the eyes lol. The excess chrome on the red one is just too much. I does look quite good though. As much as its an Equinox with new clothes, the new clothes hide its foundation unbelieveably well.

Re: 2010 Terrain Launch: Tons of Photos!

I just saw one in person on my dealer's lot tonight, and will echo what others have said..
1. Looks better in person
2. Looks much better without the chrome clad wheels and chrome insert on the grille (SLT2 models - the one I saw was an SLT1)
3. Its definitely different than the Equinox

I still would likely choose a 'Nox, but its definitely better looking than I expected. Still don't like the Toyota Sienna taillights, though

On a related note, saw an Acadia SLT2...the 20" chrome clad wheels look awful on it as well... Enough with chrome clad wheels already!!!

I hope you are right.

I agree though, the chrome clad wheels look terrible.
