Re: 2008 Chicago Auto Show: First HUMMER H3T Images

Its no H3T concept, and I do wish they would offer it in regular cab. But I actually like it!!! It is much better looking that I though it would be from the camo pics.

I wouldnt think it could. The avalanche is one piece body and bed. The bed in this pic looks separate from the body, so i would guess that it can't be a midgate unless they changed something

If this is under 35 mpg, it's more like part of the CAFE problem than part of the solution.

JMHO of course.
I was trying to be sarcastic. I agree with you.

I think the v8 in the H3T would be better because the old I5 had to work so hard to move all that weight and GM's v8s are some of the most efficient engines that is why it is counter-productive to eliminate their v8's just for a PR gimmick when really the v8's would get equivilent or better economy than 4 bangers and 6's.

Yeah, let's kill off making a RWD Impala and keep building CAFE killing Hummer's. Makes a lot of sense to me!!!

I guess since this is basically built off an existing chassis and was in development before CAFE was "upgraded" justifies it's existence for the time being.

It will probably get the similar mileage as the Silverado, maybe even a little less, even though it will be smaller; I expect 14/18.

wow, i am impressed. hope it sells well, in fact, id be willing to bet it'll outsell the tundra (assuming it lives up to the standards of a hummer as far as specs go.....and its not ridiculously priced.)

The 5.3L is still optional?

It should be the standard engine...

I noticed the Hummer has the European spec tail lights with amber turn signals.
