hopefully the next TB (well, first of all, let's hope that there is a next TB) will remain body on frame, and built like a real truck. it's nice that there are still SUVs built like trucks out there that don't cost an arm and a leg. i just hope GM doesn't drop theirs.

361 was the right hand drive variant of the truck for Holden which has been long since canceled but there is a good chance the TB will continue as sort of a stop gap, but i see the Envoy, Rainer, Ascender and 9-7 being cancelled because each has their own unibody in their size range or soon will. The TB will be the only one that won't. Now if GMC was smart they would try the XUV thing again but build it like an avalanche but only smaller.

Re: 2007 Trailblazer Changes

i don't think there will be a next gen tb...but thats my opinion. 6 speed, new interior, tighter turning radius, restyled exterior, and taillamps that DONT burn out! is what the tb needs.

Re: 2007 Trailblazer Changes

The Trailblazer is still a very competitive, and BEAUTIFUL vehicle. It is one model that could use a change, for sure, but just so it doesn't languish, and that is happening MY08. That's why Trailblazer sales haven't dropped as dramatically as the Explorer, even as gas prices have skyrocketed. The suggestion I have is to apply what we've learned from the GMT-900 launches to this. A good interior and exterior, superior fit-and-finish, a more fuel-efficient, smooth, and dare I say, more powerful powertrain will make customers forget about fuel prices real quick. Most of what was the decline in the SUV market (not all by any means) was languishing or undesirable product. Jeep and GM continue to have strong SUV sales because of desirable product, and the failures such as Durango and Explorer are going to take big hits to sales because when people are faced with a choice of an undesirable SUV vs a fuel-efficient car, the gas prices will amplify the car choice as better. Making the SUV desirable will lessen the blow of gas prices, although not eliminate it.

Re: 2007 Trailblazer Changes

The old SS package was one you added to an LS or LT grade. LS = cloth, LT = leather. This new 1SS and 3SS package is just a simpler way to order and find a SS TB.

I agree the TB could be so much with a little more massaging to it like a 5 speed or a six speed. Another subtle facelift and a better interior and it will be fine i gave a suggestion and they shot it down on the interior about as far as making some of the interiors one color instead of cream and gray or black and grey, ect...
