I was very unimpressed with that also . I went to a junk yard and got the under hood light setup from an 88 , and installed it on my 04 . The light with the reel and long cord was perfect, nice for changing tires at night .

They need to bring back that light from 88-98 trucks , whatever it costs.

I will be installing one on my Parents 07 , that was one of my favorite things about my 1990 GMC.
