People are allowed opinons. I think most people are aware someone likes it or it wouldnt have been done.

Right on. Agreed.

Be a bit complicated I think with all the databus communication going on between engine/tranny and chassis these days...(hopefully with GM having that setup in the denali already the swap should be doable with correct harnesses etc).
I really wish GM would allow such combo's, I mean Ford had thiers, Dodge had theirs, and here we are. The 454SS was good for its day, but wouldnt hold a candle to the last gen lightnings and esp the SRT-10. The 6.2L is IMO the best truck engine GM has had (performance wise) esp coupled with the 6 spd. I am shocked at the power the new Denali trucks have stock, imagine just a few tweaks, let alone some serious mods.

Do we know what the black truck started as? GMC? Chevy? I am curious as well what the plan is, let us know AndrewGS.

Just wanted to clarify here that I didn't mean this thread so much, lots of threads have GMIN members that seem to really dislike cars, want them off the road, ruining this (your) country, ruining the environment, that kinda thing. Those guys are not enthusiasts. Might as well be talking about toasters.

The Silverado/Escalade looks very, very short after the cab but could be just because the box is off?? Maybe just long enough for the caddy panels?

One of my first thoughts when I saw the new Silverado was if the Avalanche front clip and box sides would swap easily...

It's a Silverado. It's the owner of the shop's truck and he only buys Chevys, and often. I'll try to find out what the plans are for the bed-sides.

It's a Short Bed model as opposed to the white truck being a Standard Bed.

I'm sure they'll be doing a Tahoe front clip soon enough.

Re: 2007 Chevy Silverado Hardcore Hotrod

I HATE the body style of the new silverado. The previous gen front end was a step back and the new body style is just awful. On styling alone, the GM offerings wont be on my list of potentials.

God that grill and steering wheel are soo tacky..I hate those style grills, they look like ebay specials
The whole thing looks like a large Tonka Toy, so defeats the purpose of looking "cool". I guess there was a lot of work put into this for little effect.

Because they live in Houston, TX....cloudy skies...95 degrees and humid...peoples style is always ten years behind. Peoples idea of dressing up her is wearing an old polo shirt and a pair of Nikes and having a $50,000 custom truck. If Houston didnt exist, GM's truck sales would actually have a huge dent, and Corvette production would slow....People love GM trucks and F-bod's, Vettes here. Everybody has a pickup truck here and they just use it just for commuting, airbags or cheap lift kits

Im not a big fan of the "sport truck" idea.... I would prefer to see a truck lifted with big @$$ mickey thompsons on it any day...
